Paris Saint-Germain seals Cavani signing

The Uruguayan has completed his move to the Parc des Princes from Napoli after three stellar seasons at the San Paolo for a fee around 63 million euros.
Paris Saint-Germain has completed the long-awaited signing of striker Edinson Cavani from Napoli.

The Uruguay international has long been linked with an exit from Stadio San Paolo, with the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City all previously linked with his signature.

PSG had leaped to the front of the queue over the past few weeks, though, and the Ligue 1 champions have now announced the successful capture of the 26-year-old for a fee thought to be in the 63 million euro range.

Cavani first moved to the San Paolo from Palermo back in 2010, and he developed into a key player with the Neapolitan club, helping the side to the 2012 Coppa Italia and a second-place finish in Serie A last season.

He began his professional career with Danubio in 2005 and first moved to Europe two yers later.
