Capello: "Real Madrid comes before everything"

Fabio Capello knows what it is to be part of Real Madrid (he managed the team on two different occasions, winning the Spanish league both times). Speaking to Spanish TV's Antenna 3 he said that "when you go to the club, you need to be aware that it comes before the players, the manager, before everything".

"You shouldn't try to be the most important person at Real Madrid", the current national team coach of Russia continued.

Fabio Capello followed the message with an opinion on the appointment of fellow-countryman Carlo Ancelotti: "He's very smart. He knows how to manage a team. He's a quiet man and is experienced - excellent qualities for leading Real Madrid".

The Italian coach rates Ancelotti's project and thinks that "the most promising youngsters in football right now are in Spain, which is why Real Madrid has signed them. They have experience, talent and they know the style needed to play in Spain", he commented.

He also said that the teams facing Messi and Neymar will struggle and talked about Bayern's appointment of Guardiola: "There's not much to change, the only thing is that more pressure might be exerted higher up the pitch to get the ball as fast as possible. That's what Guardiola will bring, he'll ask the forwards to put the pressure on", Capello explained.
